A few nights ago, I had the pleasure of photographing Emilie and Mark's beautiful evening before their big day.
Once again, we traveled back up to Northern Maine to spend a few nights at Pushaw Lake. As a family, we rolled out tables, cut flowers for arrangements, and strung white lights on every tree in sight.
After a day of decoration and preparation, we changed our t-shirts and shorts into dresses and button-downs. While surrounded by stacked plates and folded table cloths, the bridal party ran through the ceremony a few times; laughing and joking around with the friends that had joined them for their special day. The sun was just beginning to set as we all gathered around the table.
Woodman's Grill of Orono prepared an incredible meal on the grill of fish, steak and shrimp.
After dinner, there was enough time for the groom and his groomsmen to practice their dance moves.
Lilliana and Lix enjoyed the yummy meal!
Emilie and Mark made for a stunning couple on their wedding day. It drizzled during the ceremony, but not enough for us to mind. We huddled under the tent for the reception where it proceeded to pour! The power went out twice during our night of dancing and celebrating. Nothing could stop us, as the party kept on going until 1am! It was such an incredible day. I feel so lucky to be a part of such an amazing family.
